Sheri and Victor.
Hope all is well. Emailing you some new pics of Tater bug taken last evening. He annoys the living daylights out of Beverly Grace and its SO funny !  He really gets a kick out of barking, I think it's his favorite past time other than annoying Beverly Grace. LOL  You'll see how big he is now at 5 mo, almost the same size as miss beverly. When he was at the vets for his rabies shot at 4 mo old, he weighed 27.6. he's all bone and muscle, very big boned. I'm trying now to "fatten him up" but I swear he burns off his calories before he eats them !   Wish I could do that !  Heehee. Enjoy the pics and hugs to you and all your basset babies.

It has taken me a while to get back with an update on Maizie.  She is such a loving dog.  Everywhere we go, everyone comments on how she is so beautiful, soft and friendly.  She makes friends wherever she goes.  She sleeps through the night, which is great since our last basset hound got me up every night for 12 years.  Now that the weather is warmer, Maizie enjoys her time outside, and she loves to explore.  If there is a sunbeam, she will find it, in or outside. As for training, her parents are not the best students.  She knows what to do, she can sit, lie down, come, stay, etc., however, sometimes we do not enforce the proper behavior – we were too easy on our son too.We love her and she loves us back – that is what it is all about.  Hope you enjoy the attached pictures

Hi, Sheri and Victor!

Congratulations on your new litter of pups…they are gorgeous. “Rose” looks so much like Violet as a newborn! I am attaching a recent photo of Violet for you. I can’t believe she is over a year old now! The time goes so fast. As you can see, she still very much resembles her mama, Daisy, in coloring and overall build, though I see a bit of her papa in her too. She definitely has Yohaun’s funny clown personality! She’s an absolute treasure. She was completely house trained by 3 months and is smart as a whip! As it turns out, she has food sensitivities, which explains a bit why she was so sickly her first few months at home. Her puppy chow contained all of the foods she was sensitive to. Once we switched her to a different chow, she thrived and hasn’t had any issues since. The vet says it’s rare to happen in a pup so young, but not anything that could have been anticipated and anyway, it’s all fixed now! We have had some sad times recently – we lost our sweet boy Obe to stomach cancer three weeks ago. It was very sudden and I’m just devastated by the loss. Violet and Desi have been a real comfort to one another while they mourn him, giving me yet one more reason to be grateful to have brought Vi into our family. Toward the end of 2010, I’ll likely be looking to bring another puppy into the family…I saw that you are planning to breed Yohaun and Queenie next year. Not sure if the timing will be right based on when I can introduce another family member (I can’t do it before late autumn) but it would be neat if it did. I’ll certainly be watching out! Hope you are doing well! Congratulations again on the new pups!

Hey Sheri and Victor,

Pumpkin is doing so good.  She is running and playing with her new friend, our cat, named Beans.  They actually like each other and entertain each other.  She is so sweet and well-behaved.  She loves her new backyard and had fun over Christmas when my parents visited.  We even took her to the beach, but that was a short trip.  She thought the beach was a little too big for her.  We will try again when she gets bigger. She has so many toys that she doesn’t know what to play with next.  Thanks for everything and Happy Holidays.

Hi Sheri & Victor,

Hope you are doing well. Had to send you the attached photos. A friend of mine is a freelance photographer and took some pics of Boone-- thought you may enjoy them. He's doing well and is loving the snow. Have a good day. Talk to you soon. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and you are recovering well.  I've attached two more photos of Boone. Best wishes for the New Year.

Just wanted to let you know Banjo is a daddy, so far we have 3 girls and 2 boys, all are lemon & white except for 1 little boy and he is tri-colored. Just had another lemon & white female. I'll send pictures when she has finished.
Well we ended up with 11, the last one died but the rest are healthy. We have 7 little girls and 3 little boys. 3 are tri and the rest are lemon and white. Will send pics as soon as she settles down a bit more. She is a wonderful mommy. Takes right after her dad

Dear Sheri & Victor,

Finally got some pictures of Peaches and Ethel. It was beautiful out today & they sure are enjoying it. Peaches is the one that looks like the beagle. Wouldn't trade her for anything. She is the sweetest little thing. Ethel has elephant ears. Thought I would give you an update on Banjo. Took him to the vets yesterday, it was a week early but he is doing just fine. He received his 2nd shots, would you believe he weighs 13 lbs already. Fred my last basset, at 9 weeks he only weighed 7.6 lbs. He got up to 55 lbs. He is such an ornary little thing, but we love him to pieces. I saw your next litter, they are beautiful. Take care and I will keep you updated.
