Hi Ms. Sheri!
Boy do we love our Teddy. We got her home late Saturday. We showed her off to her grandparents, who fell head over heels in love with her as much as we did. She was especially impressed with Poppy, because he could whine and sound like her brothers and sisters. She whined right back. The meeting of her and mad cow was hilarious. He's not to sure what to think of her. She made a wonderful first impression by biting him on his hind leg. He spun around and looked at me confused. He found her bag of treats, and ate them all. She returned the kindness by peeing on his blue bear. He's gently tried nudging her off my lap. She's fearless! The vet gave her a good bill of health, and was VERY impressed with her size. He asked me if he could recommend your kennel to people looking for a good basset hound. I told him I'd ask. The crate training is going really well, she only pee'd inside the house that first night (guest bathroom ) because our steps are icy and we weren't going to dare go down them with her or ourselves. We're so very happy! She's just a ball of wrinkles. We decided her name would be Penny's TeddyBelle Tastycake .. money and cakes after her mom. I love Rosco's name as well. I'll probably be mailing a deposit for Kim's dog ( my gift to her ) soon. I know they'll go fast. Thanks from the Chandler family in Columbia,SC

"Rosie" was adopted by the Jeffcoat family in Columbia, SC. She is having fun cuddling and playing!!
"Spanky" has a home now. She's going to stay with a great family here in Camden, US !! She will be a pet only not one of our ladies in waiting.
"Nelson" is a handsome young man who joined The Ellis family in Charleston, SC

Hey Sheri,
Thought you'd like to know I registered Lila with the akc website and we decided on her full name, which is drum roll.....
Nor'easters Delilah Bourbon Street Moonpie
Let me explain the name a little. Nor'easters because our first two weeks with lovely Lila has been during the strangest Nor'easter's in recent years here in suburban Philly! Strange but wonderful because of bonding with Lila! She hates the snow, btw, we are always wrapping her in sweaters and taking her out and back in quickly, and then warming her with blankets. Delilah, as this is her given full name, she is a temptress alright! ;) Bourbon Street as I think Mardi gras is a magical place, a celebration, and also because Bourbon St. (after Katrina), like us after the loss of my sister, is picking up the pieces and becoming strong again. Much of this thanks to Lila! The celebration after they won the Superbowl was inspiring and so wonderful to see. And Moonpie, keeping in tradition of Daisy's 'Tastycake' and TeddyBelle's 'cakes' as well! I always loved astronomy as a child and spent hours looking at the moon and stars. Also, 'Pie' is one of Lila's nicknames already as well! Not to mention Moonpie's are delicious, haha! I have taken many photo's, I'll send you copies once I get them developed, as I still haven't invested in a digital camera. I know I am so behind the times! I plan to buy one within the next two weeks so I can send some online as well. Lila is doing great, Asher just loves her and she and Buddy now have become pals and snuggle together. She's really won the old man over, and he isn't easy to take to new things! She has a little purple elephant she takes everywhere with her, and loves her puppy blanket. Kisses are a specialty of her too, she is generous with them! Thanks and hope you are well. Speak to you soon.

Hi Sheri!
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday was the second visit to the vet for Rocket and Stryker (aka "the punks" and aka "the chunky punks"). Both are in great health - still some worm issues, but otherwise doing just super. Both nearly doubled in weight in three weeks! Stryker is at 15 pounds, and Rocket's no slouch - she's 14.6! I was amazed she weighed so much since she feels like a feather compared to the Stryker-man. I'm afraid my days are numbered of carrying them from their crate to their outside pen first thing in the morning. Stryker is such the little leaker - this will be a bit of a challenge for me! They are certainly getting much stronger and assertive. They absolutely love leaves - and there's no shortage of them around my house!
Apache adores these two, that is until they get too close to his bone. He has had to reprimand both on a few occasions. But they are learning! They love to crawl all over him and can play for a long, long time with him. Then they collapse on their puppy pad and into a heavy sleep. They are just too much fun. Everyone says they are double trouble. Well, yes, I suppose. But I say they're double LOVE!!! I'm not much with a camera, so I have not taken any pictures yet. But I will try to soon, before they are all grown up.
Take care , Mary Conyers

Our next mating is planned with Yohaun and Sunnie the end of Summer 2010, a list has already started for these Euro pups!! We are also considering mating Queenie and Yohaun this year too. Our plan but not sure if it's mother natures plan !!
